Caterpillar TH406 and TH407 Tele handlers...

The Cat^® TH406 and TH 407 Telehandlers feature a number of new systems and designs to enhance performance, promote operator efficiency and machine productivity, expand versatility and keep service time and costs to a minimum. Both machines have a rated load capacity of 8,100 pounds (3700 kilograms). Each also has a two-section boom, delivering a 20-foot (6.1-meter) lift height on the TH406 and a 24-foot (7.3-meter) lift height on the TH407. Caterpillar Cab in Track Feller Bunchers...

Cat Forest Products recently announced updates to the cab on the track feller buncher line, including the Cat^® 511, 521, 522, 532, 541, 551, and 552. The changes improve operator comfort and safety and machine durability.

• A full-size sliding window on the left side of the cab allows more fresh air into the cab.
• The escape hatch above the operator’s head has a new quick release latch system to allow fast exit in an emergency. The operator just grabs and flips the latch to pop the escape hatch open. Read more.....

Caterpillar B-Series Knuckleboom Loader....

Cat Forest Products recently launched the new B Series knuckleboom log loader with the introduction of the Cat^® 559B. The loader features an enhanced engine and hydraulic power system that improves fuel economy and gives the operator more control to match the loader’s power output to job requirements. Reduced engine and fan speeds, a reengineered hydraulic pump and bigger hydraulic lines allow more efficient use of horsepower to save fuel while maintaining performance. The new pump also decreases heat generation, resulting in cooler hydraulic system temperatures. Loader performance is further improved by a 15% increase in swing torque and modified main control valve spools that improve cycling to lower the boom faster. The increase in hydraulic line size also allows faster grapple action. Read more....
